It seems I can only find time in my life to post once a month, lol. Such is the life of a toddler.
Anyway...here are some pics from our wonderful Halloween!
To share a little bit more about our Halloween, I thought I'd elaborate. This year, as in years past, I made Matthew's costume. I freehand-cut all the bones for the skeleton and then the white felt bones were hand-sewn using black thread onto the shirt and pants. I then added glow in the dark paint to the bones as well. It turned out to be my favorite costume ever! And I was a bit apprehensive about it at first, but he would not back down. He HAD to be a skeleton. Although he wanted to be a bloody skeleton. All impossibilities aside, I was not about to let my 7 year old go out with a bloody Halloween face. I have to draw the line somewhere, lol.
I made the neighbor's kid's costumes as well. You will see them in the slideshow. Cecilia was a veterinarian and Maddie our dog was her injured patient. You can imagine how long Maddie left those bandages on. It was funny while it lasted! Konrad was a cowboy complete with fringed chaps and vest. Those were fun to make, let me tell you.
Max was a dragon, which was a hand-me-down costume of Matthew's when he was of the same age. Nice and easy costume which kept him warm and cuddly. Max got to eat his first lollipop last night. It was so cute seeing him hold the stick with his mittens on. He was a trooper during our 3 hour treat-a-thon.
As the evening progressed the fog rolled in to make the evening just as perfect as it can be. The moon had the lovely orange glow around it too. Screams and giggles could be heard all around the neighborhood as well. What a fun night!
