Hockey!

For this one, we need to rewind a bit. I can't believe I didn't blog about it in the first place. How very horrible of me.
Back in November, Matthew had the opportunity to participate in the G.O.A.L. (Get Out And Learn) program put on by the Nashville Predators. It's a free four week hockey clinic designed for children who have no ice skating or hockey experience. We thought it would be an excellent way to introduce the sport to Matthew. He had a blast! He was really good, so good that we are signing him up for another clinic with Southern Ice Arena in Franklin which starts late March.

Last month, Matthew's best friend Steven participated in the same G.O.A.L. program. He is a natural, honestly. He took to the ice like a duck to water. (His father was born in Canada...so it must be in his blood. Don't they live and breathe hockey up there?) Steven also signed up for the clinic with Southern Ice. Watch for future photos.
But for now...enjoy these:
Matthew Gretsky, he he

And a couple of Steven:

(He's the one being pulled along in this pic, he also has a blue stripe on his helmet.)

And of course we can't forget the spectator through all of this, who did so well at cheering them on!

His favorite part was the zamboni. How many 2 year olds do you know who can even say zamboni? lol Here he is peeking under the door to see the parked zamboni:

Curling!! Our future Olympian!

At last! Zamboni heaven.
